For because he himself has suffered and been tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.

Disclaimer: I am not a theologian and I make mistakes from time to time.
Sometimes we forget that Jesus was 100% human and a 100% God. That means that Jesus was probably tempted to curse, steal, sexually sin, murder and etc. However unlike us He never committed a sin. Jesus knows what’s like to experience these temptations and knows how we can defeat our temptations both because He is God (therefore He knows all) and because He has experienced the temptation of sin. We should then turn to Jesus and ask Him to help us control our urges to sin.
Jesus, You were tempted to sin but You did not sin, please show me how I can defeat my temptations to sin.
